Things are moving along quickly after a long time of planning. It is important to remember, to me anyway, that all this came to me in the shower. What ever will be all started that morning in the shower. John has been a great deal of help, more than I could have asked for! It is hard to do the cutting and tailoring as well as all the sundry parts of a new venture.
The movie I was in is finally going to be shown at the Whistler Film Festival. "Tailor Made: China town’s last tailors" is a movie about Bill and Jack Wong who are mentors of a sort. I was lucky enough to get tangled up in the making of the movie. We shot in my old work rooms and as far away as Savil Row in London. The producer traveled with me to catch a few job interviews I had. It should be good to see how much of my "sub plot" made it into the final film.
I am also planning on putting up photos of my work desk every Sunday. Think of it as a “whats on my desk” segment. Might be takeaway from Stepho’s or it might be a vintage tailoring manual, who knows.
